Hello,
Recently my washer started jumping around, and from what I could tell, it's because the drum/tub (not sure what it's called) is banging against the sidewall of the washer. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the drum is extremely loose, I can move it in all directions without any resistance.
I went to Home Depot, Lowes & Sears just to see how new machines behave, and there is no play at all. That said, these are newer machines, so maybe it's just an old design issue.
I recorded some video (the camera is mostly steady, so any movement you see is the actual drum), hopefully it will help you help me.
I do have experience dealing with electronics, but as for appliances, replacing a dryer motor is about all I have done. I was going to try to take the machine apart, but I wanted to play it safe, and decided to post on these forums first.
Thank you in advance for your time :)
