I have an old Hotpoint washing machine and water is flooding out of the water inlet. The leak is not coming out of the inlet valve (where supply water lines connect), but out of the chamber above it that connects to the tub by a rubber hose. It is part number 803 on this diagram. The water is overflowing out of the back of the inlet. Is there something electronic that restricts flow to this chamber? I have tried cleaning the hose and chamber thinking that it might be clogged, but there was no build-up inside and after re-assembling, no change was detected. Any suggestions are welcomed.
