I am having a problem with a spare refrigerator at my home. It seems to cool properly in the refrigerator, but it takes too long to defrost when it goes into defrost mode. It appears to stay in defrost mode long enough to make the ice in the icemaker begin to melt. Could this simply be a defrost timer issue? I would like to have a grasp in it before I begin to change parts for no reason. I am currently using it as a refrigerator only, but would like to use the freezer if I can resolve this issue.
