My left front burner ignites sometimes (all other burners work fine). My plan is to switch the electrode with one of the other burners (probably the back right burner since I rarely use that one) to verify the problem is with the electrode and not a wiring or other issue
Following instructions in another post, I removed everything from the cooktop, unscrewed the torx screws that hold down the burner brackets for all four burners, and used a putty knife to free the top from the clips.
The problem is that the burner brackets are still attached to the cooktop via the electrodes so that when I raise the top, the gas lines start to move. My guess is that I need to disconnect the gas lines to each burner but wanted to check with you before I did anything stupid.
What is my next step(s)?
Thanks, in advance.
