Ok, so my dryer this morning was working fine. I put some clothes in this afternoon and tried to start them. I heard what seemed to be a "pop" sort of sound, the dryer clicked on but wouldn't start. The pop sound came from the same area where the click sound comes from... I imagine the control board. Now I turn in on, it clicks, but won't start. Hoping it's not the control board.... what do you guys think. Probably been addressed here already, but I don't have a bunch of time to search everywhere. Sorry if it is.
As a side note, I really hate these particular Kenmore washer and dryer units we have. Yes, they are 6yrs old, but I've had nothing but problems with them. The old top loading washer and dryer I had years ago gave me zero problems. So what if they used more energy and weren't as water efficient..... they were dependable.
Ok enough rant... gotta figure out what to do with my wet clothes while I await your expert opinions :)
Thanks!
