How many watts should new ignitor draw?

I have a year 2000ish Maytag MGR5770ADB GAS range. Works and heats up great. Recently I had a very high electric bill and ran around the house using my WATTS-UP meter to check draw of all appliances. Much to my surprise the GAS oven was drawing a constant 450Watts while heating up. This article leads me believe that number should be between 25 and 50 watts.

Interestingly enough, about the same time my electric bill went up I had recently replaced the ignitor in this oven.
