New to this forum lets see how this goes.
Hello everyone, I have a 2007 GE profile counter depth refrigerator I bought used in the ghetto last year. didnt know what I was looking for when I picked it up. heard it running, freezer and fridge were cold. figured awesome load it up and I'm done. WRONG WRONG WRONG! NO! What was I thinking lol. you dont do that before getting married or buying a car why is it okay to now. anyways after that dumb move I got it home plugged it in, was getting cold but not cold enough, took the inspection plate off the back of it and noticed the fan was moving at a snails pace. no big deal, had someone come look at it, he took the inside of the freezer apart? I asked his intentions he said to repair the fan, I laughed and said wrong fan. he then put everything back together in the freezer and then took the I think condenser fan off the bottom or back of the fridge. he then said order the fan and I'll come back. ordered the fan and gave him a call. he then informed me that he moved to Florida on a whim. so I took it upon myself to put the new fan motor in. 10 minutes later fan works juat fine.
heres where my trouble begins...
the temperature diaplay in the fridge section that diaplays the current temperature after just being plugged in says 0° for the freezer and 64° for the fridge. originally before this guy worked in it both temp displays would read 64° and both would gradually drop to whatever temperature the refrigerator was set to and then the compressor would kick off. now the compressor runs non stop and wont turn off. is it possible he left something/thermostat unplugged in the freezer when he took it apart? or maybe broke the thermostat? just curious what you would do in my situation beaides beating it with a bat and setting it on fire.
Thanks in advance!!!
