Hi everyone,
I posted a couple of years ago in this forum regarding disabling the buzzer on my Kenmore washer because it was so very loud! For reference, the original posting is here:

I hadn't really had the occasion to try disabling this buzzer until this past week when, due to a dryer exhaust repair, the washer (which sits under my dryer) was finally exposed and I could get into the front panel to remove one of the buzzer wires.
I opted to remove one of the wires (there were two) instead of cutting it since I figured it would have the same effect. The issue I seem to be having now is that the washer no longer finishes its cycle. It stops right before the final spin cycle and the clothes are all soaked in water. Apparently, removing one of the buzzer leads has had the side effect of killing the last part of the cycle [or perhaps not -- see my second post below!]
Does this sound right to everyone? Would removing one of the buzzer wires have a direct effect on the final part of the cycle? Are the buzzer and spin cycle functionality somehow connected? I am going to try to reconnect this wire and re-run the washer some time in the next few days (I will need some new help to lift the dryer again!) but I am wondering why this is happening.
I'm also wondering if there is any way to get the buzzer sound disabled without impacting the spin cycle. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
