We recently noticed that our GSD4030Z02WW was leaving some water on the bottom. After reading about the causes etc. I opened it up and replaced the chewed up piston/nut assembly. I also made sure the sump pump pit was clean etc.
The dishwasher is still leaving water on the bottom - about 1/2" at the deepest point.
questions:
1. Some people have said its normal to have that much water at the bottom as the the pump does not like to run dry. Is this correct?
2. If its not normal, what else can I check?
3. If the drain pipe is partially clogged (though water is draining into the sink), can that leave water at the bottom? If so, why is that? Does the sump pump run for a fixed amount of time and if the opening is not clear enough, it wont be able to fully take the water out?
Thanks in advance
