 Hey, the bottom element in my top oven of my Maytag CWE5800ACB oven stopped working. I thought I should test things before ordering a new one. I just replaced my bottom element recently.
I moved the bottom oven element to the top oven and plugged it in. I turned back on my breaker and then though I should close to door before turning it on. When I turned it on there was a flash of light and my breaker flipped. The connectors of the element touched the oven wall so it shorted out and my breaker switch flipped. Pretty stupid of me :(.
Now I my control panel will not turn on. Does this mean I fried my panel? Is there some other option? Is there a fuse or some other part I could replace in it or something like that?
I want to know you opinion before I order a new one.
