Will try to describe the problem as best i can, since i personally have not done all the work. I usually try to fix these things myself, but going thru surgery (eye) i hired an appliance repairman. The symptoms are as follow, I can dial the temp control dial to off on the freezer side and wait a few minutes, then dial it up and the compressor will start and cooling begins. Once temp is reached it will stop, but it will not restart be itself. The first part replaced was a defrost thermostat which had the refrigerator working for about 2 days. Before a puddle of water on the floor due to melting ice happened again. On the second visit he worked in the rear, bottom left side of the the refrigerator and removed a black module with a red and black cable on on side and a couple of contacts on the other, not sure what that is but what he put in was a cylindrical piece with 5 cables coming off of it, also notsurewhat that is, but it made the refrigerator work for a very little time. The last thing replaced was the defrost time and stil nothing. I can also mess with that and get the compressor to work, but something still going on. Any ideas from the experts on what I should be zooming in on?
