Hello
I had another thread where I was inquiring about my side-by-side Jenn-Air where the freezer seemed OK but the fridge was too warm.
We've pretty much decided to buy a new fridge, but our options are somewhat limited as the hole for the fridge is only 25 inches deep. There is a blind corner unit that currently does not open properly as the fridge sticks out a bit.
We've found a Kitchenaid fridge (KBFS20EVBL) that should fit our opening and not stick out too much. However, it will barely fit the hole. Kitchenaid has a dimension guide that states there should be at least 1/2" on both sides and at the top. The best I will be able to do is 1/4"on both sides and slightly less than 1/4" at the top. The doors will be past the opening so they should open fine.
Will this be sufficient? The coils are at the bottom.
There is a 25" deep cabinet above the fridge, if it would help, I could cut a ventilation hole in the bottom and top of the cabinet (they do not go all the way to the ceiling).
Any opinions would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Brian
