Kitchen-Aid DW all lights on after wash cycle, then dead

My KitchenAid dishwasher had just completed a normal wash cycle when all the panel control lights suddenly came on and stayed on. No response to key touch. I unplugged the unit to reset the electronics, but after plugin the dishwasher now fails to respond to any input (no lights).

My guess is that something has failed or shorted on the control board. The "all lights on" doesn't seem to be a known failure code from what little I can learn online. The unit is 18 months old.

Any advice is welcome!
