Hello - My dryer will no longer start. I can select a program and the time correctly displays on the control panel but when I select the Start button, nothing happens. If I keep pressing the Start button, the dryer will buzz and what seems like a switch gets tripped on the left hand side of the dryer. Selecting Cancel will stop the buzzing. The time will still display on the control panel similar to when pausing the dryer.
I've tried numerous things that seems to have helped other people on this site and other sites: I've left it unplugged for over 48 hours but still won't start. I've run the diagnostic and all of the lights on the control panel correctly light up and 88 displays as the time. No buttons are stuck. I can select and unselect every button and the appropriate light will turn off/on. The dryer light turns off when the door is closed so I don't believe that is the problem. I've opened the bottom of the dryer, removed the two wires that go into the thermal fuse, taped them together but the same thing occurs. I've removed the top and back panels and thoroughly cleaned the dryer by vacuuming the lint that was in there but still the dryer won't start.
