Hi all,
Leaving for a trip and the wife said that the dryer wasn't working- looked online and based on recommendations, checked the following things-
-Vent is clean/clear
-Gas valve is open
-Dryer drum turns
-Dryer exhausts air forcefully (but cold)
-Tried running dryer in timed mode- still no heat
-Pulled front cover & checked thermal fuse w/ohm meter- shows closed
-Checked thermistor- showed ~9.2k resistance @ room temp- running under cold and hot water showed a increase/decrease in resistance
-Thoroughly cleaned out lint from interior
-Running diagnostic mode shows error F28- related to moisture switch- shorting metal strips in drum with damp cloth while in diagnostic mode generates tone indicating no problem with sensors. I believe next step was to troubleshoot the thermistor per the tech sheet...
I'm at a loss what to check next- I can't find the resistance settings for the thermistor, so I'm wondering if that's the problem/place to start? Dryer was working up until yesterday without issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
