We just bought a house and the sellers included the fridge. Everything was working fine, but my wife wanted to replace the water filter since it was unknown how long the current one had been in place. After installing the new filter, the water dispenser stopped working completely. Thinking it was a defective filter, I returned it to the store for a replacement, verified the model number was correct, and installed the new one with no change in operation. The ice maker still works. I disconnected the water line the bottom of the door and hit the lever to see if maybe the line had frozen in the door, but nothing comes out of the line at the bottom. I have not pulled the whole unit out to troubleshoot the solenoid operation yet, but I'm assuming that's the next step. It just seems odd that it would go out at the same time that I changed the filter, so I didn't want to go tearing stuff apart until I got some guidance from this forum. The few times I've removed the filter while trying to troubleshoot it has been full of water.
