Can't remove the burner cap on Admiral sealed burner stove

Hi there,

I have the common problem of one burner not lighting on my sealed burner stove. I want to remove the burner cap to see if I can clean things up a bit b/c I'm assuming something was spilled on it, but I can't twist it off and have no idea how else it might be removed. Any thoughts?
