Dryer stopped turning. I could hear the motor humming, so based on feedback in this forum, I had pretty good suspicion that the belt was broken. I took apart the dryer (again, found directions on this forum) and found that yes it was the belt. Based on the forum yet again, I would like to replace the belt, idler arm and pulleys. But when looking at the kit (Maintenance Kit 4392065 Order now for same day shipping. 365 day return policy. RepairClinic.com), the idler arm pully looks different the one that was in there. The kit has an actual wheel; while the one that I have is just a flat, rounded piece of metal- see IMAG0039... are these compatible?
Looks like it would be, but want to be sure.
And for fun- looks like this repair will be subsidized by all of the money I lost in the dryer over the last 10 years. See IMAG0034... I found all of these coins (look at how many are quarters!) inside the darn dryer-- most of them were on the rolled up lip of the front panel. I am not sure if I found more coins or lint! The inside of the dryer definitely needed to be de-linted.
