I have a Frigidaire Affinity AEQ6700FS0 electric dryer that will tumble, but not heat. This is an 09 model year, but has been in a garage for 2 years following a move from Seattle to Minnesota, and given to us. It worked for 3 days, but when my wife put in towels and set it to the highest heat setting, it stopped putting out heat.
1. It won't go into test mode using the select and control buttons and shows no error codes.
2. Tested continuity on Thermal Limiter and High Limit Thermostat, all good.
3. Heating element shows about 10 ohms on the continuity test.
4. Reset the breaker and tested at the terminal block, confirmed 220-240 volts coming in.
Any ideas? Could this be the control board because it won't go into the test mode? Thanks in advance for any help.
