I had my Frigidaire M#FFU20F9GW2 SWB83221321 Date-8/98 compressor lock up on me, I tried just to let it sit and reset, also installed a 3-n-1 still was not getting the compressor to start.
I priced a new one at my price and the wife said to do it. I gave the local supply house the M# and she spit out the P# I needed. Today I started the repair, pulled old compressor and drier.
Tried to fit the new comp in place and dont think I got the right part#, P#5304478809. Now when you Google the M# I am getting that P#, BUT the "KIT" seems incomplete. Now I have changed 100's of Copeland and Tecumseh and no stranger to retrofitting, but this one just felt wrong, The drain pan comes nowhere near the drain, even if I turn the compressor 90 deg where the access fittings are pointing to the front I am still not under the drain, also I got a couple of pieces of copper in the kit and olny one is of use, I am unable to get the discharge line connected with out making my own fitting, also I received no instructions, If I have the right compressor what is the heat paste for and can I get a wire diagram on the relay and cap. I feel that my freezer is older then usual and I might need a different "KIT".
PS- about me I am a Restaurant Eq. repair tech, I stay out of your business all together, BUT had no choice on my own freezer, per the wife.
