I've tried to look everywhere to find a solution. I came home one day to find water all over my floor, dripping from freezer side. I opened freezer to find a piece of ice stuck in such a way that it kept the device that pushes the ice open. There was ice all over the place, and the bottom had frozen over. I removed all the ice. I defrosted the fridge. I removed the icemaker. Tested the electricity. Put the ice maker back. Nothing. I placed water in the tray, and the ice maker froze the water and put out the ice.
I've blown air through the tubes to ensure no blockage. I removed a device from the back of the fridge where the water splits. There are two sets of electrical contacts - Green and Yellow. When I checked the resistance of the green contacts, I got a numerical reading, but no sound from the multimeter. When I did the same with the yellow contacts, I got a sound from the multimeter.
Fridge works. Water dispenses. Filter was replaced. Can't make ice without manually placing water in the ice maker. Help....
Can anyone make heads or tails from what I'm saying? I could use your help.
